Gynecological care
We offer a wide range of both in-office and hospital-based procedures. Women today have more options than ever before to resolve their most personal health concerns, and we are pleased to offer a number of the latest and safest in-office gynecological and surgical procedures using leading-edge technology.
Our physicians may need to perform certain procedures at our affiliated hospitals. These procedures can include:
- Abdominal hysterectomy
- Diagnostic laparoscopy
- Dilation and curettage
- Hysteroscopy
- Laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy
- Laparoscopic tubal ligation
- Ovarian cyst treatment/removal
- Minimally invasive surgery
- Uterine ablation
- Vaginal hysterectomy
Uterine ablation for heavy menstrual periods
We offer a minimally invasive procedure for women who suffer from heavy menstrual periods to minimize bleeding. Unlike a hysterectomy, a uterine ablation preserves the uterus and does not require incisions. The procedure involves applying heat to treat the uterus lining.
Uterine ablation requires no hospital stay and is a quick, fifteen-minute procedure with a quick recovery time. Most women return to their regular routine the very next day. It is not safe to ever become pregnant after this procedure. Therefore, this procedure is for women who are willing to use continuous or permanent birth control.
Teen gynecological care
We specialize in initial OB/GYN visits for teenagers. During this exam, our specialists take the time to gently guide your teen through her first annual exam, explain what's involved and answer those important first questions. Teen gynecological care may include:
- First annual exams
- HPV vaccinations
- Painful periods assessment and treatment
Preventive care
At our practice, your health is the most important thing. We offer a complete range of women's health services to examine and diagnose issues before they become a concern. Our preventive services include:
- Annual exams
- Breast and pelvic exams
- Immunizations
- Menopause and perimenopause assessment and treatment
- Pap smear with human papillomavirus (HPV) testing when indicated
- Sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment
Obstetrical care
We offer complete obstetrical services for all your healthcare needs.
Prenatal care
If you're pregnant and in need of an OB/GYN, our providers will guide and educate you through each trimester. We offer high-quality obstetrical care by building a relationship based on mutual trust and medical expertise.
We would like to see you for your first prenatal visit around the seventh or eighth week of pregnancy, calculated from the first day of your last menstrual period or five to six weeks since conception. Please call sooner if you have a known history of ectopic pregnancy. If you have more questions, you can also view our pregnancy-related frequently asked questions and postpartum instructions.
Postpartum care
Taking care of yourself after your baby is born is very important. Our OB/GYNs can help you during what many refer to as the fourth trimester by guiding you through the ways your body changes after pregnancy. We can also help you manage physical and emotional pain, providing emotional support and postpartum depression screenings. Our range of postpartum care includes services and advice regarding:
- Breastfeeding
- Constipation
- Emotional changes and postpartum mood disorders
- Episiotomy and laceration care
- Exercise and post-delivery activity
- Hemorrhoids
- Pain management
- Prenatal vitamins, supplements and birth control
- Pelvic rest and postpartum intercourse
- Uterine cramping
- Vaginal bleeding and discharge
We also recommend a follow-up exam six weeks after giving birth. At this appointment, we can monitor how your body is healing and address any symptoms or conditions that may concern you.
Contraception
For women looking for pregnancy prevention options, we offer birth control counseling to discover which method will work best for you. Some of your birth control options include:
- Implantable contraception
- Intrauterine contraception
- Oral contraceptives
- Surgical sterilization
- Vaginal ring
Three-year implantable contraceptive
For women looking for extended birth control, we offer implantable contraceptives. During the procedure, a small, implantable contraceptive is placed under the skin of the upper arm. The contraceptive contains a form of progesterone that works as birth control by stopping the release of the egg from the ovary, helping to stop the sperm from reaching the egg. It can last up to three years and can be removed at any time if you choose to become pregnant.
Infertility services
If you are having trouble getting pregnant, you are not alone. Over 10 percent of couples in the U.S. deal with infertility. To learn more about your options and possibilities, please schedule a consultation with one of our physicians. Fertility services we offer include:
- Evaluation and treatment
- Hormone testing
- Infertility medication
Referrals for in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and advanced infertility treatment
