Conditions treated by our pediatric team
Spinal issues can present in children in a variety of ways, so we work to address a diverse range of conditions in order to be a trusted resource for you and your child. Conditions we typically treat include:
- Degenerative discs
- Flatback syndrome
- Herniated discs
- Kyphosis
- Sagittal malalignment
- Scheuermann's kyphosis
- Scoliosis, including adolescent, congenital, infantile and juvenile
- Spinal fractures
- Spinal trauma
Treatment options we offer
When necessary, our board-certified surgeons are available to provide surgical intervention for your child, including spinal fusion surgery. Minimally invasive options, such as vertebral body tethering, may also be recommended if your child is a suitable candidate.
For scoliosis, once the level of spinal curvature has been determined through diagnostic and imaging tests, we will take into account your child's current level of health, as well as family history, to determine the most optimal set of care goals.
