Our compassionate pediatric hematologist oncologists provide thoughtful treatment for several conditions, including anemia, clotting disorders, leukemia and sarcomas. We offer your child advanced care while also supporting your family with coping mechanisms and nutritional planning techniques.

Pediatric blood disorders we treat

Our facility is staffed with knowledgeable doctors who are experienced in treating a variety of blood disorders, including:

  • Anemia — when blood doesn't have enough healthy red blood cells
  • Bone marrow failures — bone marrow lacking healthy blood cells
  • Clotting disorders — caused by blood clots that form too easily
  • Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) — caused by a decrease in the number of blood platelets

Visiting our clinic

We are located near HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's at the corner of East 21st Avenue and High Street. Complimentary valet parking is offered for your convenience.

We close for lunch from noon to 12:30pm.

Appointment scheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call at least 24 hours in advance. We make every effort to stay on schedule, although we understand emergencies arise.

Onboarding your child for the first time

If we are seeing your child for the first time, we ask that you arrive 30 minutes early to complete paperwork. You can also download, print and complete the forms prior to your appointment if you'd like. In addition to any completed forms, please bring the following to your child's initial visit:

  • Copies of any recent X-rays and lab results
  • Insurance card
  • List of your child's current medications
  • Photo ID

Preparing for your visit

We understand that schedules can change at a moment’s notice. However, we do ask that you keep us informed as soon as you're aware you can't keep your scheduled appointment or check-in time. If you are able to attend your visit as scheduled, there are a few steps we ask that you take beforehand, including:

  • Calling for details about where to park and how to find us if you're unsure
  • Compiling your insurance and financial information, which may include your health insurance card, your child's Social Security number, their parents' names and your co-payment amount
  • Documenting information about your child's medical history
  • Giving your child a brief description of what to expect either the day before or the day of your visit
  • Printing out directions to our facility
  • Writing down any questions you or your child wish to ask
