Pediatric surgeons for children of all ages
It can be unsettling to have your child undergo surgery, but our family-centered approach and multidisciplinary experience allow us to excel in working toward positive outcomes.
Surgical services we provide
Our practice offers access to board-certified and fellowship-trained surgeons whose top priority is improving your child's life. We work to be able to address whatever surgical needs your child may have. Additionally, being part of a large network allows us to work directly with other pediatric physicians who bring an added level of expertise for procedures that require further specialization.
Our surgeons strive to improve surgical practices through innovation and the adoption of minimally invasive surgeries. These laparoscopic and thoracoscopic techniques can regularly reduce pain, scarring and recovery time and can be used for numerous types of surgeries, all with a greater benefit to your child's well-being. The full range of surgeries we offer includes:
- Appendectomy

Surgical and nonsurgical chest wall abnormality correction
Structural chest complications are typically caused by congenital abnormalities in the chest wall. These include pectus excavatum, when the chest bone dips inward, otherwise known as a "sunken chest," and pectus carinatum, when the chest bone protrudes.
Although both types are present at birth, many are not noticeable until your child becomes a teenager, when a difference in physical appearance may begin. When pursuing treatment, we always first consider nonsurgical options. More severe cases of pectus excavatum may require surgical intervention, but pectus carinatum is most often treated successfully with bracing.
With bracing, your child will be fitted for a fully customized brace that's unique to their anatomy before wearing it 24/7 (under clothing) for anywhere between six months and a year. During this time, it gently guides their back's structures into place without trauma or significant pain. Bracing often begins around the ages of 10 to 15 and works well just before a growth spurt.
