Cancer treatments and services we offer
Our specialists provide the comprehensive, highly skilled cancer care you need including diagnosis, treatment and support.
Radiation therapy
We offer a wide range of advanced radiation therapies as one approach to treating several types of cancer. Our specialists apply extensive clinical radiation oncology experience, design personalized care plans and communicate with you every step of the way.
Surgery
One essential part of cancer treatment involves removing your tumor and surrounding cancerous tissue through surgery. Our medical group includes highly trained surgeons who collaboratively perform surgery on nearly any part of your body.
Many of our surgeons use minimally invasive surgery, including robotic technology, to perform procedures. In this approach, the procedure is done through very small incisions — resulting in less pain, reduced scarring and faster recovery.
Cardio-oncology care
Cancer survival rates are improving each year. However, cancer treatment can be damaging to other parts of your body, especially your heart. If you're currently getting cancer treatment or have previously, you might have developed another condition that's placing stress on your heart.
We provide cardiovascular support before, during and after treatment. Our services include:
- Advanced cardiovascular imaging
- Follow up if you're considered high-risk
- Heart care needs you have during treatment
- Pre-existing cardiovascular condition treatment and management
- Regular monitoring during treatment
- Risk factor assessment
- Treatment for cardiac damage
Bone cancer care
We provide advanced treatments for a wide range of bone cancer types including osteosarcoma, Ewing's sarcoma, chondrosarcoma, giant cell tumors, enchondromas and multiple myelomas. Our surgeons are renowned for the limb-sparing and pelvic stabilization procedures they perform. These surgeries address bones that have been weakened or otherwise compromised by bone cancer.
Breast cancer care
We offer comprehensive breast care by collaborating across teams and using minimally invasive techniques whenever possible. Our doctors are skilled in both simple and complex surgeries and can sometimes perform a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery during the same procedure. We can also treat you with chemotherapy or radiation therapy if it's recommended.
Cervical cancer care
Using a personalized treatment plan, our team takes a focused approach to treating cervical cancer, including squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. Treatments we offer for cervical cancer include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, robotic radical hysterectomy and fertility-sparing surgery. We often use combinations of these treatments to best target your cancer.
Esophageal cancer care
Esophageal cancer is typically detected in its later stages. If we find it early, you might not need surgery. Sometimes, it's possible to treat early-stage esophageal cancer with endoscopic therapies instead. Our knowledgeable specialists use imaging like computerized tomography (CT) scans and positron emission tomography (PET) scans to determine whether your cancer has spread and to what extent it has spread. Treatment for esophageal cancer can be long and intense, which is why it's best done under the care of an experienced team like ours. Most often, we use a multidisciplinary approach with treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery.
Gynecological cancer care
Our team of specialists offers diagnostic services, treatment options and survivorship support for your gynecological cancer journey. We're skilled in interpreting imaging tests and doing biopsies of female genital tumors to come up with an accurate diagnosis. From there, we consult with you to discuss appropriate treatment options such as:
- Anti-angiogenesis drugs
- Chemotherapy
- Hormone treatment
- Poly ADP ribose polymerase (PARP) inhibitors
- Surgery
Head and neck cancer care
Several types of cancers that develop in the mouth, throat, sinuses and nose are classified as head and neck cancer. We can treat your cancer with chemotherapy, radiation therapy or surgery. Reconstructive surgery might be necessary to improve the function and appearance of affected areas of your head and neck. Our specialists treat many rare ear, nose and throat (ENT) cancers, including laryngeal cancer, pharyngeal (throat) cancer, thyroid tumors and human papillomavirus (HPV) related cancer.
Lung cancer care
Our thoracic surgeons excel at treating non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer, giving you support throughout your cancer journey. We have a highly specialized team of thoracic surgeons, pulmonologists, medical oncologists and radiation oncologists who create and administer a treatment plan that's right for you. You'll get the individualized care you need to help you work toward your wellness goals.
Ovarian cancer care
In its early stages, ovarian cancer rarely causes symptoms, making detection and prompt treatment crucial. We offer chemotherapy and surgeries, such as surgical debulking and risk reduction surgery, to address this type of cancer.
Uterine cancer care
Cancer of the uterus is the most common type of gynecological cancer that we see. Our specialists perform many different types of procedures on uterine cancer. We can also perform minimally invasive surgeries and robotic surgeries that are beneficial because they require smaller incisions and less recovery time.
Vaginal cancer care
Having routine pelvic exams and familiarizing yourself with the symptoms of vaginal cancer greatly improve your chances of early detection and successful treatment. There's no standard screening for this type of cancer, so it's best to schedule frequent well-women exams. We might treat your cancer with radiation, chemotherapy, radical surgery or a combination of these techniques.
Vulvar cancer care
Getting regular pelvic exams greatly improves the chances of detecting vulva cancer in its early stages. This type of cancer often gets misdiagnosed until there is a large tumor on your vulva — making proper exams essential. Treatment options for a vulvar cancer diagnosis include radiation therapy, radical surgery and a lymphadenectomy.
Pediatric oncology
We stand by our medical expertise and our commitment to treating your child. We provide supportive, family-centered care for children with cancer to help them manage pain, stress and the side effects of treatment. We also offer nutrition and health maintenance guidance to help fulfill our ultimate goal of making lifelong health and childhood cancer survivorship possible for more children. Our experienced team is made up of skilled pediatric oncologists and hematologists, board-certified nurses and compassionate support staff.
